Do I qualify for the new home owner tax credit of $8000 if I had a home in 1999 — I signed a quit claim deed?
I got Divorced in 1999 and had to sign away my claim to the property. My Ex-wife was not able to refinance the loan in her name so I remain liable for the note until she was forclosed on due to not making payments. I paid the loan off and forced her to sell the house via the Court.
The home was sold by the court in 2007.

I am in the process of reciving a timeshare as a gift from my father. In order to complete the transfer process we need to change the warranty deed from his name to my name. I was told by the timeshare that you can purchase a computer software to complete this process instead of usuing an atty to save money. Does anyone know the name of the software and where i can purchase it or experienced this situation?
